The community was eager to see the finished product, and they arrived in droves…

 

The Thursday, August 21 Community Open House at the Spring Lake Park School District’s Northpoint Elementary was the first opportunity to view the project that was completed in less than one-year’s time. A steady stream of curious youngsters, parents, grandparents, neighbors, and community members—estimated at over 1,500—had a chance to roam the hallways and tour the grounds.

 

The kids like the media center with its wall of windows, and the spacious playground. Adults found plenty to like as well: “How sweet is this?,” "Beautiful!," and “Money well-spent” were among the comments overheard.

 

Built to accommodate over 700 students, the new K-3 school is located at 2350 124th Court in Blaine, just south of the corner of 125th Avenue and Cloud Drive. The school’s first-ever students will arrive the first week in September.
