After School Adventures

Afterschool Adventures for grades K-8

Afterschool Adventures offers a quality program to all youth in District 16 schools through the Community Education Department. Program "Adventures" are inexpensive yet entertaining learning opportunities that rotate and change every few weeks and quarterly. Not all schools will offer the same classes but all schools will have a variety of Adventures to choose among.

Children can register for any Adventure at any time as long as there is still room. Most classes do have minimum and maximum registration numbers.

Additionally, we offer extended care after the Adventure is over (usually around 5-5:15 PM) until as late as 6:00 PM through collaboration with our Learning Ventures Child Care program in each building.

All children registered for an Afterschool Adventures class will meet in the child care home-room after school lets out. We share a snack, take attendance, and head to the Adventure. Parents will pickup children after class or in the Learning Ventures room by 6:00 PM.

Flyers are sent out quarterly to each classroom or click one of the links below.
