Coed Cross Country - Letter Policy
 
An athlete can letter by one of the following ways:
1.  The athlete must compete in at least 1/2 of the regular varsity contests.
OR
 
2.  The athlete places in the top 40 of the North Suburban Conference Meet varsity race.
OR
 
3.  The athlete runs on our Section Meet team (7 runners)
OR

4.  Any senior who has been a member of our team for two consecutive years or more.
OR
 
5. Any athlete who achieves a time of 18:30 or faster for girls and a time of 19:00 or faster for boys.
OR
 
6.  The coaches can also award a varsity letter to an athlete they feel is deserving of a varsity letter, but due
     to extenuating circumstances was unable to fulfill one of the above requirements (discretion of the
     coaches).
 
*All potential letter winners must complete the entire season, have good attendance, and display a positive team attitude.

Absences:
        -  Any absence from a practice must be cleared with a coach IN PERSON and IN ADVANCED (see  
           team rules) or it is considered unexcused.
        -  Three or more unexcused absences will result in an athlete's automatic ineligibility to letter that
           season.
                            a. EXAMPLES OF UNEXCUSED ABSENCES: work, overslept, forgot.
                            b. EXAMPLES OF EXCUSED ABSENCES:  family obligations, religious obligations,
                                school work.
